Kemper submits first quarter financials
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LONG GROVE, ILL. – May 15, 2009– Kemper filed its first quarter 2009 financial statements (LMC financial statement - AMM financial statement) on Thursday, May 14, 2009. The company posted a combined statutory surplus of $115.2 million. Of this amount, $104.0 million represents Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company (LMC) surplus, with the $11.2 million balance posted by American Manufacturers Mutual Insurance Company (AMM).
