Services Set for Bob Rule

Bob Rule, who worked at Kemper from 1964 – 1995, died Feb. 25th. He suffered from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Bob spent his entire career at Kemper working in various claim-related functions. The positions he held over the years included vice president of NATLSCO, vice president of Kemper Risk Management Services, president of Juris Prudent, and corporate claims officer. Bob transferred to Long Grove in 1972, where he remained until his retirement 23 years later.

In addition to serving as a board member for the United Way of McHenry County following his retirement, Bob coordinated outreach to Kemper retirees on behalf of our corporate United Way campaign for many years. He was also active in St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.

A wake will be held on Tuesday, March 1 from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home, 7715 W. Route 14 in Crystal Lake. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St Thomas the Apostle Parish, which is located at the corner of Route 176 and Oak Street in Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Thomas Parish Endowment Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice.
